Frequently Asked Questions

Questions and answers

  • The temperature of the yoga studio is generally kept between 72-78 degrees.

Even so, you may wish to bring a sweatshirt with you, or another layer to put on before Savasana, when your body temperature will likely decrease.

  • We advise you to wait at least 1½-2 hours after eating a meal before practicing to avoid any discomfort during class. Many postures - especially twists and those done laying on your stomach - are specifically designed to facilitate digestion and aid in the elimination of toxins from the body. Bringing water to class is encouraged with small sips taken as needed.

  • Comfortable clothes that allow ease of movement. Yoga is commonly practiced in bare feet. This helps avoid slipping by connecting us more solidly with our yoga mat, and the earth beneath it. Plus, it encourages the activation of the many bones and muscles in our feet. Some people choose to wear sticky soled socks for yoga or Pilates classes, which is another good option if you prefer.

  • To attend a class, you must pre-register on our website. In-Studio classes are limited in size, and sometimes classes fill up. We want to make sure you have a spot, so it’s best to sign up early! If you prefer to take Virtual classes, you need to register, and we’ll send you the Zoom link for the class.

  • The studio will be open at least 15 minutes before the start of a class, and you are welcome to arrive then, or at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time of class before the door locks. Please give yourself enough time to set up your mat and settle in.

  • In order to respect the time of our students and instructors alike, we lock the door to the studio 5 minutes before the start of any class, event, or workshop.

    IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE:

Please TEXT the studio before class begins at: 734-883-7427

While we understand that weather, traffic, and other unforeseen circumstances may come up, please leave yourself plenty of time to arrive safely. We are happy to help when we can, however, refunds will NOT be issued if you arrive late and the door is already locked.

  • Your health is a priority to us! In taking care of yourself, you can help take care of others by staying home if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, have a fever, or a sore throat. You are always welcome to choose a Virtual class option to practice with us.

Regular studio classes: If you have registered and need to cancel last minute, please remember to take yourself out of class through your account. Refunds will only be issued if you cancel 12 hours prior to the start of class. If you do not attend class and do not cancel 12 hours prior, you will not be refunded.

Events, Special classes, and Workshops: Cancellations made 8 days or more before the day of the event will be refunded in full to your card on file. Sorry, we are unable to provide refunds cancellations 7 days or fewer prior to the event.

  • Yes, we have studio mats if you do not bring your own.

At the end of class, we have spray mat cleaner, washcloths, and a double-sided *Matsana* ultraviolet mat cleaner to clean your personal mat or the one you borrowed. We also have a selection of mats for purchase that are the same style we use in the studio.
